At Waves Edge Resort Vacation Rentals is small in size by choice to maintain personal relationships with our homeowners and to guarantee immediate attention to each and every one of our vacation rental guests. We strive to deliver personable service to make the most of your Crystal Coast Vacation. At Waves Edge Resort Vacation Rentals is Owner operated and intends to be number one to you. Our goal is to have you back Year after Year.

The beach was never intended to enjoy only in the summer. September and October offer warm weather without the peak season crowds. In the Winters, have the beach all to your self with special rates. Come and enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas on the Beach!

Reservations

During the summer season, June, July, and August Homes are rented by the week only. Telephone reservations can be made from 9AM to 5PM daily and by email 24 hrs. Your First Rental Deposit must be received by our office within 7 days Agreement. A 20% down payment is required to reserve your property. This payment should be mailed to At Waves Edge Resort Vacation Rentals . THE FINAL RENTAL DEPOSIT IS DUE NO LATER THAN 21 DAYS PRIOR TO CHECK IN. Accepted forms of payment are either cash, personal check or credit card (VISA,MasterCard or Discover).

All rentals are subject to North Carolina sales tax. 6.75% for State and Carteret County occupancy tax is 5%, for a total of 11.75% in taxes, and all published rates are subject to change without notice.

Payment Plans

Our Flexible Payment Plan makes budgeting for your Crystal Coast Vacation easy! Book early to take advantage of the best availability and to make sure your family gets the house you want. Reservations can be made with as little as 20% down and monthly payments can be made up until 21 days before arrival with NO INTEREST!. Make payments by Visa, Mastercard and Discover with NO ADDITIONAL FEES.

Check In/Out Procedures

At Waves Edge Resort Vacation Rentals has made check in and check out a breeze. A combination lock box has been placed on your door or by your door that has your keys inside. At the time we send your rental agreement, we will include a personal code to access keys. Simply drive to your home and enjoy your vacation! Check in time is always at 4:00.

Check-out is no later than 10:00 A.M. Key is to be locked back in the box at the time of check out for Cleaning Crew to come and change codes and clean the home. Due to the tremendous responsibility we have in cleaning and preparing the property for the next guest, we must strictly adhere to the check-out time 10:00am.

Departure Duties

  • Wash all Dishes, Cookware, Utensils, etc
  • Empty the Dishwasher and return all items to their proper spot
  • Check Closets, Dresser Drawers and under Beds for personal belongings
  • Do Not leave any food items in Refrigerator
  • Return all Furniture to original location
  • Put all Trash in plastic bags and place in outside Trash Containers
  • Close and lock all Windows and Door
  • Turn off all Lights, set Thermostat at 76
  • Replace Keys in Lock box Provided

Linens are provided for you as a courtesy by the owners in all of At Waves Edge Resort Vacation Rental homes.

Pet Friendly Homes

If the owner of the property you have rented does allow dogs, it will be stated within the property description and a 200.00 fee, per pet, will be charged. Please note that “pets” is limited to Dogs only. Cats are never allowed in any property at any time. If you do not notify Agent of a dog on the premises and pay the specified fee, At Waves Edge Vacation Rentals reserves the right to charge your credit card the applicable fee and or eviction without refund may apply. Additionally, any guest bringing a pet into a “No Pet” property will be evicted without refund.

What To Bring

All cottages provide the following for at least the maximum occupancy the home allows: Blankets, Pillows, Mattress Pads, Bedspreads, a Vacuum Cleaner, a Plunger, a Mop, a Broom and a Dust Pan.

You need to supply the following:

  • Cameras
  • Beach Towels
  • Special Cooking Items
  • Baby Equipment Food and Condiments
  • Flashlights, Radios and Batteries
  • Personal Toiletries
  • Paper Products (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, etc.)
  • Beach and Fishing Equipment
  • Suntan Lotions, etc.

All kitchens are adequately stocked for everyday meal preparation. Coffee Maker and a Toaster, Dishes, Glasses, Coffee Mugs, Flatware, Dishes, Pots and Pans and Cooking Utensils. Some cottages provide extra kitchen equipment, but others do not. Extra kitchen items are provided according to the individual homeowner’s preference, not according to the size, location, or price of the cottage. If you are planning special meal preparations you should bring with you such items as: a Blender, a Food Processor, Extra Large or Specialty Pots or Pans, Chef’s Knives, Specialty Cooking Utensils, etc.

Red Sky Travel Insurance

Red Sky Travel Insurance is offered to you for an additional charge equal to 7% of your rental amount and should be paid with your initial deposit with a separate check. The cost of this insurance is due with your advance rent payment and coverage begins when payment is received. It is your option to purchase or decline the insurance; however, If you decline the Travel Protection Insurance, At Waves Edge is under no obligation to refund money in the event of cancellations unless we are able to re-rent the property less cancellation fee. If you decide to decline this coverage, please initial as appropriate on your Vacation Rental Agreement. Once insurance premium is paid, it is non-refundable. Trip Preserver™ covers trip cancellation or interruption due to:

  • A named hurricane or other natural disaster
  • Uninhabitability of the destination vacation home caused by a natural disaster
  • Uninhabitability of your primary residence or your traveling companion’s primary residence caused by natural disaster
  • Sickness, injury or death of you, a family member or traveling companion

  • Identity theft recovery assistance

Property Damage Protection

Our Guest’s have the option to purchase Property Damage Protection.

Max Protect – $59
$5000 – Offering the highest level of protection available

Standard – $49
$3000 – Appropriate for most properties

Lite – $39
$1500 – Providing a minimum level of coverage

In lieu of the Accidental Damage Protection, there is a minimum $500 Security Deposit due or we will need to have a credit card on file for damage protection.. Security Deposits are due with the balance of your rent 30 days prior to arrival and are refunded within 30 days of departure. Properties are carefully inspected after departure and security deposits will be adjusted if any damage is found. If the damage exceeds the amount of the security deposit, Guests will be billed for the additional amount and it will be due in full within 30 days.

Hurricane Policy

If State or local authorities order a mandatory evacuation of an area that includes the Premises, tenant shall comply with the order. Upon compliance, Tenant will be entitled to a refund of the prorated rent for each night that the tenant is unable to occupy the premises because of the order. There will be NO REFUND if your vacation rental property and the immediate area are deemed safe and accessible.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel your reservation for any reason, please notify us immediately in writing via fax, US Mail, or e-mail. If the property is re-rented for the specified period, monies will be refunded less a cancellation fee, any discount required to re-rent the property, and the Travel Insurance premium if purchased.
